Product Overview
The airPoint™ product series is a wireless connectivity solution, designed specifically for Communication Service Providers (CSP) to establish large, scalable and cost effective Radio Access Networks capable of delivering IP based data, voice and video services. The airPoint™ family of radios create a new benchmark for wireless equipment by leveraging smartBridges’ wireless Nexus™ technology based on the state-of-the-art Near Line of Sight (NrLOS) OFDM radio and advanced networking layer 2/3 capabilities.
The airPoint™ family operates in the Licensed and License free bands from 400 MHz to 7 GHz and support both Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) configurations. The OFDM technology allows for Near Line of Sight (NrLOS) operation and have high degree of resistance to fading and multi-path delays. The airPoint™ radios have variable channel width, high Tx transmit power, superior Rx receive sensitivity to assure high throughput and reliable radio links spanning long distances.
The built-in advanced networking and management capabilities like OSPF router, Bandwidth Control, Voice, Video, Data traffic prioritization, QoS, and full VLAN management ensures reliable delivery of multimedia IP traffic, all converged over the radio access network.
